As recognition of the emotional impact of our climate realities grows, so do the number of resources to support us psychologically and emotionally. Here are some workshops, pamphlets and books designed to help us all share and transcend our climate distress. I’m starting with a handful of resources available now – with a particular emphasis on Australian content. But I hope to expand this over time. I also welcome your suggestions and additions – contact me through the website contact form.
- Coping with climate change distress
An excellent short, practical booklet put out by the Australian Psychological Society
Raising children to thrive in a climate altered world
A guide for parents, developed by the Australian Psychological Society
A guide for parents about the climate crisis
A companion to the raising children pamphlet, also by the Australian Psychological Society.
- Climate Grief Workshops – run by Psychology for a Safe climate
Psychology for a Safe Climate runs an ongoing series of workshops both on zoom, and in person. Check out their website for upcoming events.
